Corrections, and other stuff too

On my last post I mentioned a garden that grows in our backyard each year. My dad was looking at my blog and confronted me telling me that there was obviously a mistake and that the garden did not belong to me. So correction: The family garden. If you have no idea what I'm referring to, see the previous post toward the bottom. Seeing as I'm not a very good proof reader you will probably see a lot of these kind of posts. Well moving on, I just took a very fun trip to Utah to see my cousins and the snow over the 3-day weekend. It was lots of fun! We went sledding and had snowball fights and I got sunburned from the light reflecting off of the snow. School is also going well. Busy but well. So thats all I've got for today. Out.

Updates

OK so I haven't blogged in a long time so here it goes. I am now thirteen and a half (yes the half is important) and in the eighth grade. I take all honors classes but I still manage to make A's with sufficient help and nudging from my parents! I love you mom and dad!!! I just took a very important writing test that could determine whether I graduate or not. Scary. I know I passed it but still... scary prospect. I love singing and playing piano and recently sang the National Anthem at a school basketball game. There were about seven cameras videotaping it and that night I got it played back to me about 7 times and it got sent by text message to someone who couldn’t make it. I'm just going to say that I felt a lot better about it before the playback (Thanks Dad!!!). I also went on a field trip to ‘recruit’ fifth graders to the music programs. The best part was definitely lunch and of course the cute boys that were there. Another thing about me…. completely boy crazy. I'm insane. Umm other updates…. My turtle that this blog was originally for. Last time I posted a pic, Seashine, who I found out is a boy, was the size of a half dollar. I now have to hold him in both hands. I have also acquired two new turtles from some friends. Both turtles are girls one of them physically challenged and neither of them named by me. Trallie is a little smaller than Seashine, and Sheldon (the physically challenged one) is probably a little smaller than the palm of my hand. I am majorly busy and rarely have time to myself and this 3-day weekend is treating me well. I’ve gotten lots of sleep! With school from 7 to 2:30, sleep is much needed and wanted. Last night’s Amazing race has further more increased my desire to travel which I discovered in my world Geography class which is by far my favorite. I love learning about the world and the people that live in it. So I want to be a traveler. Or maybe teach geography I love kids too. On an average Friday or Saturday night, I can probably be found watching someone’s kids. I love kids so babysitting is a good job for me. I also like spending time outside. We went on a hike last weekend and it was so nice and cool out. If only it was like that all year long!!! I also hope to start my garden again soon. It gets better every year. Last year we had so many tomatoes we were giving them away by the bucket. I'm hoping for another good harvest this year but we haven’t started planting yet so who knows. Alrighty I think that’s good for now. Out.

Spring Break!

I have been waiting a week for spring break (Alanna has been waiting for three). And it is finally here! Oh yeah! The Van Noys are coming down from South Weber so we are gonna do a bunch of cool hikes, possibly go to the lake (First trip of the year!) and do a couple of Easter fun days. Summerlin Easter egg hunt and our traditional family Easter egg hunt. Then we are going to hang around being lazy, how often do we get to do that! At least I will have time to catch up on the reading I need to do!

Im Going to Zion! Yeah!

I've been in the science club at school and one of the main reasons I joined was the field trip that is slowly approaching. That and I love science. It is my favorite and best subject (besides orchestra and computers which are pieces of cake). But anyway I am going to Zion! It is a three day camping trip which means no school! Yeah! We had to make some serious arrangements though. Mom's gonna be at Woman's Conference so dad was going to have to watch the kids but I was not going to Zion without a parent chaperon. So Grandma Smart is coming up to watch them. I'm so excited!

UNLV vs. BYU

We have always been and always will be BYU (Brigham Young University) fans. Our friends down the street are big time BYU despise-rs and UNLV (University of Nevada Las Vegas.) lovers. We don't like UNLV. They got my whole family tickets to the UNLV vs. BYU basketball game. Right now, my hair is blue, I am wearing a BYU T-shirt from when my mom went to college there, and am getting ready to scream the BYU fight song in the UNLV section. BYU should win if they have enough supporters. (Or six very dedicated and very loud supporters.

Too Little

Just the other day, me and a friend of mine got in a fight because she was old and left me in primary while she went to young women. Then she started on me that she was young because she was in young women so I agreed and admitted that I just must be little. I will be sad when I am the only person, within about a year of my age, in my primary class. That is until I turn 12 and it's my turn to be old while my other friends get older.
